Where Am I? Finding Chords on the Banjo with Kyle Tuttle

Join Kyle Tuttle for a workshop exploring new ways to approach chords on the five-string banjo. Known for his inventive playing and ability to move between traditional bluegrass and more progressive styles, Kyle brings a particularly creative approach to harmony and the fretboard.

If you find yourself returning to the same familiar chord shapes and backup patterns, Kyle will share how he finds interesting voicings and inversions across the neck, and how he uses them to bring more variety and musical interest to his playing. Through examples drawn from his own approach to the instrument, you'll explore ways to expand your chord vocabulary and discover new possibilities for backup, solos, and arrangements.
